The Aberdeen Sertoma Club, Inc., was founded in 1958 with 35 members and today we have 30 members, with one of our original founding members as an active participant.
Assisting the Aberdeen Parks and Recreation and Forestry Department with the development of Storybook Land and the Land of Oz has continued to be a major focus of the club for 30+ years. We have also sponsored many local worthwhile projects during the past 6 decades, including the Camp Sertoma, Camp UBU, Sertoma Annual Fund, Sy Gau Scholarship Fund, Table of Plenty, Salvation Army bell ringing, Safe Harbor, United Way, Boys and Girls Club,
Tools4School, Aberdeen Area Senior Center, Support for pediatric hearing aid fittings, BIO Girls, Sewing Ladies, Camp Dream Makers, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Fall Out Creative Community, sign language interpreters,
Aberdeen Christian School, Aberdeen Roncalli School, and Aberdeen Central School.
Sertoma's mission is to improve the quality of life today, through education and support, for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss. Our passion is to create a world where everyone who chooses can hear us. And our passion will compel us to raise awareness of our cause, educate those willing to understand, and support those whose lives can be improved through better hearing health.
Help support the projects at Storybook Land.
